When a person begins to show signs of dementia, so many tough questions arise:
- What care will be needed as the illness goes on?
- How will we find or provide this care?
- How will we make future care decisions?
- How will we afford the care that’s needed?
If you’re a family member or caregiver of a person who has dementia and are unsure about next steps, start with a Dementia Care Consultation. Our dementia support specialist can meet with you to offer information and guidance, including which other Agrace services and other community resources may be most helpful. In order to make the most of your consultation, we recommend finding alternate care arrangements for your loved one with dementia during the consultation so you can speak openly and devote your full attention.
- Dementia Care Consultations are available by phone or video call (using a tablet or computer with a web camera) across southern Wisconsin. If you are in the Madison area, an in-person consultation may be possible.
- They are one-hour discussions about your unique situation.
- The cost is $50 or $75 for a one-hour meeting or call, depending on your personalized needs.
