The CuddleCot was donated by The Jack Pack, a Janesville-based nonprofit founded by a family who experienced infant loss.

A CuddleCot is a temperature-controlled bassinet insert that slows natural changes after death, giving families the ability to stay with their baby for up to several days. This additional time helps families create memories, involve extended loved ones, and grieve in a gentler, more supported way.

Agrace Thrift Stores’ annual Holiday Pop-up Shop will open Thursday, October 30, selling a mix of donated new and gently used items for holiday entertaining, giving and decorating.

Located inside Madison’s East Towne Mall, the store will be open until November 29, Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The temporary store is located near the center of the mall, most easily be accessed using the entrances at the mall’s food court or Flix Brewhouse. If someone you know is aging, seriously ill, dying or grieving, they can turn to Agrace for support. A local, nonprofit, community-supported health care organization, Agrace is well-known for its compassionate hospice care, palliative care and grief support throughout southern Wisconsin.

To help ensure all area residents have access to its services, Agrace is holding its ‘Race for Agrace’ fundraiser in Janesville on Saturday, October 18. The family-friendly event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk, and strollers are welcome on the course. The race begins at 9 a.m. at Palmer Park in Janesville.

This October, Agrace is offering a six-week grief support group for adults who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner.
